Griffin Dykstra, senior, Lynden Christian

WHY HE’S #15: The starting shooting guard the past two years for the two-time defending Class 1A state champs, Dykstra averaged 11.4 points a game and was a deadly outside shooter hitting 35 percent of his 3-point shots. But his senior year, the 6-foot-1 lefty expanded his game averaging 4 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 1.5 steals while becoming another of the Lyncs’ shutdown defenders.

COACH TIM ZYLSTRA: “Griffin is one of the purest shooters in our league and the state. He was one of our leaders on and off the court, and we appreciated the attitude and effort he brought to practice every day. He worked extremely hard at becoming a great defender and never stopped competing for his team until the final buzzer.”
