Whatcom Hoops Girls Top 30: #11 Ailina Rabang

In an incredible season filled with outstanding players, Whatcom Hoops is ranking the top 30 girls. Each day we’ll feature an amazing player in our county and count down until we get to #1. So join us daily as we honor the best of the best.

#11

Ailina Rabang, junior, Lummi Nation

WHY SHE’S #11: The talented 5-foot-5 guard’s arrival last season turned the Lady Blackhawks into a league champion and a state contender. She upped her game this season, averaging almost 16 points both from outside and driving to the hoop, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, and 4 steals a game. She was named all-Northwest 1B League first team and if they had an all-encouragement first team, she’d have made that too.

COACH DAVID JAMES: “Ailina had a phenomenal season, distinguishing herself in scoring and rebounding for our team. She consistently demonstrated exceptional effort at each game. What stood out most to me was her outstanding attitude and leadership, as well as her adaptability in playing various positions as needed, which really contributed to our team’s success this season.”
