Whatcom Hoops Girls Top 30: #14 Tabby DeJong

In an incredible season filled with outstanding players, Whatcom Hoops is ranking the top 30 girls. Each day we’ll feature an amazing player in our county and count down until we get to #1. So join us daily as we honor the best of the best.

#14

Tabby DeJong, senior, Lynden Christian

WHY SHE’S #14: The only senior and one of only two returnees with any varsity playing time to start the season for LC, DeJong was the steady rock the inexperienced Lyncs could depend on during their early-season struggles. The 6-foot-1 post averaged 8.9 points on 60 percent shooting, 7.7 rebounds, and 1 block a game but it was her leadership that made her a second-team all-NWC choice and helped LC take third at state.

COACH BRADY BOMBER: “Tabby was a servant leader for our team this season. She was the anchor of our defense and made the game easier for her teammates. Tabby has represented our program, school, and community with class.”
