#15
Mallary Villars, senior, Lynden
WHY SHE’S #15: Although not one to fill the stat sheets, Villars filled an important role for the Class 2A state champion Lions. The 5-foot-8 point guard was a steady ball-handler who almost never made a turnover on offense and was a hard-nosed defender who was called to shut down the other team’s quickest guard. The Northwest Conference coaches recognized her worth and voted her to the all-NWC second team.
COACH ROB ADAMS: “Mallary was given the keys to the car and told to drive it like she stole it. And she did just that. Mallary’s tremendous season allowed us to play Finley (Parcher) off the ball. She finished with an incredible 6 assists to 1 turnover ratio.”
