#26
Merritt Jensen, sophomore, Bellingham
WHY SHE’S #26: The 5-foot-8 forward improved over the season, becoming the Bayhawks’ most consistent scorer and rebounder. She would average 8 points and almost 7 rebounds a game but by the end of the year was their go-to offensive player, able to regularly score double digits from outside or driving to the hoop.
COACH KEN McLENDON: “Merritt made significant strides in her development this season, emerging as a legitimate post presence. As the year progressed, she grew more confident as a ball handler and 3-point shooter. Her evolution into a potential three-level scorer positions her as a future all-conference performer and a vital part of the team’s future success.”
