Whatcom Hoops: Girls Week 2 Recap (Dec. 9-14)

The Northwest Conference and Northwest 1B League began league action last week, and already the number of unbeaten Whatcom teams has been reduced to two — Lynden and Lynden Christian.

The Lions and Lyncs, however, notched their biggest wins of the season on Saturday with non-league victories against bigger schools with state aspirations.

The defending Class 2A state champion Lions showed they can play with anybody by dominating 4A Tahoma, 57-25. The Lyncs, meanwhile, traveled to Everett and handed 2A power Archbishop Murphy its first loss, 58-54.
